COMMITTEE 

The PLC Armidale Foundation was created by the Deed of Trust, which established the ‘PLC Armidale Foundation - Building Trust’. The trustee of the trusts is the Presbyterian Church (NSW) Property Trust.

The trust deed provided for the establishment of a Board of Management comprises of:

  • Elected directors.
  • A representative appointed by the School's Parents and Friends' Association.
  • A representative appointed by the Old Girls' Union.

From this Board are elected a Chair, Deputy Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. Additionally the Board is required to form two sub-committees – an Investment Committee and a Marketing Committee.

The directors of the Board are drawn from all areas of the PLC Armidale school community including current and former parents, old girls of PLC Armidale, local business people and members of the local community who are passionate about high-quality education for girls and providing the facilities to achieve this at PLC Armidale.

Membership

Membership is achieved by making a financial donation to one or more of our three trusts, or by pledging funds over an extended period of time. Board positions are voluntary, and anyone interested in providing assistance to the Foundation should contact the Foundation Chair.

The Board meets regularly throughout the year, as do the two sub-committees. The Investment Committee is assisted by professional investment advisors and is responsible for managing the funds invested and allocation of funds. The Marketing Committee is responsible for increasing membership and coordinating fund-raising and marketing activities.
