Dining @ PLC Armidale

Our College Dining Room is centrally located, being literally a "hop, skip and jump" from the Boarding House.

Our catering staff are employed by our contract caterers, Catercare, and take great pride in the presentation and nutritional value of the meals they prepare.

The chefs regularly consult our girls about their favourite menu options, which are then checked by the Catercare Dietician. 

All meals are provided in the Dining Room and our Boarders as well as day students, are able to access toasters, boiling and ice water, microwave oven and a toasted sandwich maker during lunch hours.

Dinner during the week is a more formal occasion and the girls eat at set tables every night. This is an important time in the day as our students and staff come together over a meal to discuss the day's activities and catch up with each other. Weekend meals are more relaxed with a later start time and often have BBQ for dinner, served outside.

Our Boarders are also often treated to "culinary theme nights" and event dinners, and Boarders' Birthdays are celebrated regularly at dinner.

Boarders requiring special food options such as: Vegetarian, Gluten free, Lactose free or allergies require a letter of explanation on enrolment or attached to the Medical Forms.

  • Hot meal with meat and vegetable dishes

  • Hot drinks eg, Milo

NB. Boarders are also able to keep food in the Boarding House refrigerators – sealed and clearly labelled to eat between meals.
