Sport plays a major part in the community life of PLC Armidale. There are an extensive range of sporting activities, events and levels of participation. From fitness programs and activities designed with Kindergarten in mind, through to competitions in State and National Championships.
Students of PLC Armidale can participate in sports and events such as; Hockey, Netball, Basketball, Soccer, Fitness, Athletics, Touch and Cross Country.
With the completion of our purpose built multi-use indoor sporting facility, DKC, the college has access to Indoor Volleyball, Tennis, Netball and Basketball.
Together with our 400m running track situated on the scenic grounds of the College, PLC Armidale also has access to two indoor heated swimming pools, and corporate membership of the largest fitness centre in the New England Sport UNE.
College students continue to excel at local and state championship events, with girls winning the Armidale All Schools Athletics Rotary Shield, and the Combined Independent Schools Golf Championship, together with wins in the NSW All Schools Triathlon.
Whether for serious competition or personal satisfaction, PLC Armidale offers sporting opportunities for all.
