PLC Armidale has a proud sporting history. The College offers a diverse program that caters for participants from beginner level to representative. Through our membership to IGSSA (Independent Girls Schools Sports Association) and IPSHA (Independent Primary School Heads of Australia) all girls have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports. Those with identified talents are offered a pathway to represent at the highest level.
The College also has a Community Partnership with the Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS) which provides opportunities for talented regional athletes on and off the field. NIAS also utilises the facilities at PLC Armidale for residential camps and offers our coaches the opportunity for professional development.
The sports currently available at PLC Armidale include:
Athletics, Basketball, Cross Country, Equestrian, Football (Soccer), Gymnastics, Hockey, Indoor Hockey, Netball, Swimming,Tennis, Touch, Strength and Conditioning Training, Pilates, Volleyball, Rugby and Futsal.
Other sports become available from time to time, depending on the demand, such as Rowing and Water Polo.
