swimming carnival 2020

PLC Armidale's annual whole school swimming carnival will be held Tuesday 18 February at 8.30.

It will be held at the Monckton Aquatic Centre, Armidale from 8:30am – 3:20pm.  The first race will be the 200m Individual Medley to commence promptly at 8:30am.

If you are competing in this event, you will need to be at the pool before 8:15am and be ready to compete at 8:30am.

All girls should wear PLC Armidale swimmers underneath their Guild uniform. Girls will need to bring their PE bag containing a towel, guild swimming cap, hat, sunscreen and plenty of drinks/water as the canteen is not available. Please also ensure sunscreen has been applied before your daughter comes to school.  A PLC Armidale jersey or jacket is essential for use between races and PLC Armidale track pants may be worn if the day is cold. T-shirts in Guild colours and swimming caps are available from the Uniform Shop.

 All other students

All students in Years K to 12 will need to make their own way to the Monckton Aquatic Centre and arrive by 8:40am. Only boarders or students that travel to school by town bus will be transported from the College to the pool. They should meet at the PLC Armidale internal bus stop and a role will be marked prior to departure.

If your daughter will be arriving at school by town bus on this day, please notify Mrs Sandra Grant (Senior School reception) or Mrs Emma Young (Junior School reception) by Monday 10 February.

On arrival at the Monckton Aquatic Centre, Senior School students must report to Mrs Sandra Grant and Junior School students should report to their class teacher to have their attendance recorded.

At the conclusion of the carnival, all students will be returned to the College by bus.

Morning tea and a BBQ lunch will be provided by the P&F. Morning tea will be provided for a donation and BBQ lunch available for purchase. However, if students do not wish to partake, they will need to bring their own snacks and lunch.
